Social II Debut For Hamersley

Hamersley Social II 0-1 Shamrock

The Metro North Division 2 side, Social II, played their inaugural game for Hamersley Rovers at Carine on Sunday. Unfortunately, the result was a 1-0 loss, but there were a lot of positives. We hit the frame of goal twice (Sertorio and Tombides), several missed chances, and one lack of concentration at the back cost us. Our Keeper (Fulco) had a fantastic game.

Our opponents, Shamrock, had some impressive pre-season results and a 7-0 win in the Cup so we were always up against a strong team. They argued for every throw in, free kick  and decision. Perhaps they wanted it a bit more then us. The team will look to secure their first win against Ellenbrook away this Sunday, a team which had a double figure win in the Cup. It will also see the likely return of talismanic center half Lombardo, which will allow Pelemis to push forward into a controlling midfield role.
