Coaching Team Announced
14 December 2014
Hamersley Rovers are pleased to announce we have finalised our coaching set up for 2015 across both amateurs squads.
Tel Stupple has been chosen to lead the Premier First Team and is installed as Head Coach. Tel has been with the club for a number of years as Reserve Team Coach, only to have stepped up on three occasions to take charge of the first team. Each time he has lead the team admirably, helping to secure promotion back to the Premier League in 2011 and staving off relegation at the end of 2014. He has more than earned the chance to take the premier team in his own right and we look forward to an exciting year with him at the helm.
Phil Clarke has stepped up from the playing group to become Assistant Coach. Phil has state league experience with Floreat and Dianella and we look forward to supporting him on the start of his coaching journey while remaining and important player for the club.
Stuart Harrison joins us from Wanneroo City to take the position of Reserve Team Coach. after many years coaching in Scotland and WA. Having previously coached varying age groups at Aberdeen FC, Sorrento, Quinns and last season at Wanneroo he brings a wealth of experience to the club. We welcome Stuart to Hamersley Rovers and hope his association with us is long and successful.
John Markham has stepped down from Development Team Coach to take a break from the coaching game and joins Graeme Marinkovich as Team Managers for the premier squad. John is a fantastic clubman and former club president and brings a wealth of experience to the role after years coaching the reserve team and development teams.
Sam Ellis has stepped up to take on the role of Development Team Coach. Sam was assistant coach last year and is relishing the chance to nurture the younger players through to feed into the premier teams.
Assisting Sam will be Tony Odundo and Brad Cranfield. Tony is a former first team player having won the amateur cup with Rovers in 2007 and has helped coach the development team in previous years. Brad joins us from the UK having coached with Chelmsford City youth teams and is another young coach we are excited to have further their coach education with us.
We would like to congratulate all our coaches on their appointments wish our coaches, including our Ladies, Socials and Masters coaches, all the best for season 2015.
