And Then There Were Two
01 July 2011
Three became two as the cup rounds started getting towards the business end of the competition. First to secure a spot in the Quarter Finals was Hamersley reserves. Undefeated all season and up against lower division opposition in Carramar Cougers, Rovers were expected to progress. Which they did in workmanlike fashion with a solid 3-0 win.
Masters I have a good cup pedigree and continued this in season 2011 with a close 4-3 win over Mandurah City from the Masters Premier League to book their spot in the quarters.
Social I were also up against a Mandurah team but the away side showed no ill effects of the long drive north, running out with a 5-0 win.
Quarter Final matches are played midweek under lights. Good luck to both the Division 1 reserves and Masters I, fixtures too be drawn soon.
