    State Cup Dream Over

It was fun while it lasted but a comfortable 4-1 victory for State Premier League heavyweights Floreat Athena has ended Hamersley's cup run at the quarter-final stage. After knocking out Quinns FC, Ashfield and Kingsley, Floreat was always going to prove more of a test for Rovers with ex professional players on their books.

The game afforded the club some national exposure with Four Four Two magazine giving us a mention.

Bet365 were also offering odds on the game (first

Rovers Lift the Carine Cup for the First Time

The records were re-written in style as Hamersley ran out 4-1 winners on a hot afternoon at Percy Doyle Reserve.

Hamersley were quickly on the front foot after the kick off and scored early thanks to a clever piece of finishing from Mickey Garcia. Rovers were soon 2 up thanks

  • Div 5 vs Warnbro

25 July 2011 Written by HRSC

The team had a long road trip to Warnbro on the weekend to play a fixture that has had its moments in recent meetings, The guys were keen to overturn their earlier league result when we lost 6-1, well we improved marginally as we only lost this game 5-1!

On what can only be described as a disgrace for a pitch (could’ve sworn I saw cows grazing on it earlier in the day) we had our work cut out for us.

  • Div 5 vs Cracovia WE

24 May 2011 Written by HRSC

This week’s game would be played against Cracovia WE at home. Having not encountered this team before it would provide a new challenge with taking the 3 points the prime objective. The team set up in the usual manner with the 3-5-2 hoping to play some offensive football and put plenty of goals in the back of the net.

Some early goals from the away team put early pressure on the Rovers defence and midfield making it 0-4
