Results Round 12
After a great return last week that saw trhe club earn a 75% win ration from their 8 games, this week saw the reverse occur with only two wins achieved from the 8 games played. A fixturing anomaly saw most teams play reverse fixtures from last week.
The first team led the way, securing the double over North Perth United winning 2-1 at home thanks to a Ikey Ireland winner 5 minutes from time. The result sees them move to the top half of the table and only 5 points off a promotion spot in a very tight league. The reserves had another close game with the same opposition, this time winning 4-3 and only a point from first place.
The development team had a long trip to Warnboro and despite rumours of their demise they still put out a decent side to win 3-1. The development reserve team also struggled going down 5-2.
Social One didn't win but had a great game with Heathridge. At one point 3-0 down, a great comeback saw them draw the game 4-4. Social Two also played very well in a huge turn around to their 9-1 thrashing from International Calcio, this time taking the game to the same opposition and only losing 2-1.
The fixture anomaly had the opposite effect on the Masters, winning 5-1 last week against North Beach, this week they lost to them 3-2 despite being on home turf. The Ladies played host to Kalamunda United but unfortunately went down 2-1 to the visitors, but they still remain third in the table.
Social Three again had a bye but many of the players turned out and assisted the other social teams on the day.
