Rovers Premier League Status Assured

Hamersley Rovers will be plying our trade in the Premier League for yet another season in 2016 after Kwinana's relegation last week and our solid 1-0 over North Perth this Sunday thanks to a Chris Sweeney goal.

However, the team was never really threatened by relegation this season after a storming start to the year winning 6 of the first 7 league games. A mid-season slump after losing key strikers to the UK and interstate, has seen the Hammers camped in mid table.

Recent wins over Fremantle Croatia and North Perth has consolidated our position and we are currently 6th with two games left to play and 4th place well within reach.

With BB United and Perth Royals to come, coach Stu Harrison will be focused on getting maximum points to end the season on a high and give the Hamersley Hectics more reason to chant and bang the drums.

Hamersley have now played in the Premier League for 22 of the past 24 seasons which easily surpasses other teams in the current league. Building for season 23 is under way as we look to challenge current runaway champions Gwelup Croatia and compete for the league title.
